The Fragmentation Problem
Apr 24, 2025
DeFi was never supposed to be a collection of disconnected networks and protocols. It was supposed to be a smooth and open system… one where anyone could access yield (even leverage), exchange assets freely, and build strategies without needing to be an expert.
Every new protocol promises something new, but also adds another layer of complexity. Managing assets today feels less like freedom and more like managing a portfolio of wallets, bridges, and strategies. The space moves fast, but the user experience hasn’t kept up.
So now we have ended up with a fragmented mess where users have to manage multiple wallets, DeFi protocols, and assets across countless protocols. So we created an all-in-one solution where DeFi is curated and tailored to each user.
Curating DeFi
Odyssey isn’t about reinventing DeFi. It’s about making DeFi finally deliver on its original promise of being open, accessible, and user-centric.
By building on account abstraction, we’re creating a framework where complexity stays hidden, where advanced strategies and multi-protocol interactions happen seamlessly, without requiring users to understand every technical detail.
The future we see isn’t one where users have to know how to do everything manually. It’s a future where the infrastructure does that thinking for you, where managing your assets is as simple as logging in, seeing your positions clearly, and making decisions based on opportunity.
Odyssey is designed to be modular because DeFi will never stop evolving. New protocols will launch. New chains will emerge. But users shouldn’t feel that growth as added weight. They should feel it as expanded potential, unlocked through a unified experience that scales with the ecosystem, not against it.
This isn’t just about better UX. It’s about shifting the way we think about interacting with crypto entirely.
We’re starting with modules like Loopr and Bundlr because they immediately remove some of the most painful friction points. But the vision goes far beyond that. Odyssey is the foundation for a DeFi experience where the users, whether they're power players or just getting started, can actually focus on what DeFi was meant to offer.
All this to say, DeFi doesn’t need to slow down in its creation and creativity. It just needs to stop leaving users behind in the process.
We’re building Odyssey to make sure of that.
If this resonates with how you see the future of crypto, we’d love to have you along for the journey.
